In this book, the information is far more exceeding than what most diary entries have to offer. Throughout this book, the author describes many items that are overlooked when looking at the massacre of Wounded Knee. One of these items is that there were Sioux Indians who worked for the government as scouts of the tribal land, assisted the United States government while plans were being made to put an end to the Ghost Dance. This shows how politically the government had more control over the Sioux than is believed, as well as the social perspective that there were many Sioux Indians that assimilated to the American culture.
